I return to career mode and my second season in which I am contesting the Ginetta G40 UK Challenge series. This is the second round at Donington Park and the first of two races, this being the "sprint" over nine laps of the Donington National circuit.

I qualified on pole with a very comfortable margin over the second fastest driver which was a surprise given that I had not only turned all physical and visual assists off but also increased the AI's skill level. My car was running great, and I know Donington well, but I was really surprised at the ease with which I was able to pull a lead and extend it at will.

I have heard, and I have no idea if it is true, that the AI difficulty in the early career races is artificially nerfed and I suspect that there may be something to this allegation, based on what I experienced here. Other recent races I completed outside of career mode and with the AI on the same level were way more challenging for sure.

My dominant performance in qualifying carried over into this race which was great for my championship hopes but not so great in terms of providing an exciting race for you, dear viewers and subscribers :-)
